Background

Netherland Bulb Company is a wholesale supplier of premium Dutch bulbs and bare root perennials grown and shipped directly from their farms and packing facilities in Holland. Dig Marketing was hired to re-design their entire website and propose a solution to better the information architecture, user experience, and user interface design of their website.

 
 
 

Challenge

As the company expanded, so did the information on the website. Without any functional design refreshes since the late 2000s, the website started to look archaic and their target audiences were not able to quickly find the resources they needed online.

 
 
 
 

My Role

Provided art direction to a team of 3–4 designers to complete the website prototype. Acted as the project manager and account manager who co-presented ideas, project milestones, and deliverables with the Creative Director on client and stakeholder calls. The high fidelity prototype was completed within a month and was highly regarded by the agency as a successful project.

Solution

We organized the company’s resources by their target audience groups and by seasons so users would be able to navigate to the information they specifically sought out during different times of the year. The product is a responsive 46-page website prototype that included e-commerce, educational resources, and landing pages that cater to multiple target audiences.
